My Business Cards :)

I have designed 2 business cards for one of my Modules :) Seemed to be cheaper to order them in Bulk so I've ended up with 200! Hmmm they could be difficult to get rid of.

I like to waste my time on irrelevant drawings. Such as this one of a dog peeing. Nothing to do with my project but I hey! Time well spent I say.... ha

Your Bus Driver

My final major is going to be a book about workers and what they do in their spare time. This is some sketch book work leading up to the Bus Drivers after hours activities. Inspired by a man I often see wondering around Plymouth and no I don't mean Michael Ferns!

Drew a few sketches whilst having a few drinks in a pub in Cheltenham. I thought Cheltenham was dead posh after watching their 'Come Dine with Me' but the people in Weatherspoons weren't!

Karaoke

I enjoyed creating the other Karaoke images so much, that I did a few More! A personal favourite was CJ. Possible to most interesting character you'll ever meet. A drunk Scottish tranny that likes to hump steps, chairs and anything else that gets in the way.

These sketches were done, whilst a little drunk up old Mutters - Mutley Crown. I personally thought their song choices were spot on!

This was a little old lady I met down by the market. She asked me for the time and it was 11:10 am and she thought it was 3 in the afternoon.

I have started a new project to do with people in their natural working environment. However I still keep getting distracted by old people! I find them so interesting to draw because everything about them tells a story AND they stay still for longer than people at work! So here was a cheeky little sketch I drew, whilst searching for workers. She was sat outside a shop waiting.

Here is a grumpy old man I overheard in the cafe. I particularly enjoyed drawing the typewriter. I think I will continue drawing more 'objects' like this. Now roll on Final Major Project! eeeeeeek :S

My Uni project is based on people from the Plymouth Methodist Church Cafe. This is a lovely old lady that volunteers at the cafe. She doesn't talk much, just grunts.

My illustration class and I. Are putting together a calendar of our work to sell on the stall that we are having in Drake Circus (Plymouths' shopping centre) next month.
My month was October. I painted leaves and printed them onto paper, then did the rest of the magic on photo shop.

I've decided to go crazy and start doing some random collage. I entered this Christmas card into the University Christmas card competition. However once completing the card I realised that it's not actually that Christmasy! So Note to self - maybe change 'Merry Christmas' to 'Happy Birthday'
But hey I do still like the design :D

I have a new brief at Uni, and it's all to do with BINGO! The random grannies and grampas you get at bingo are very entertaining! and take it surprisingly seriously!! BINGO

I was feeling a little rubbish about the amount of work I have been doing over the summer. It seems to me that my whole Uni class must not have jobs and must sit and draw all day! Damn modern technology such as facebook for rubbing this in my face!
However with what little time I did have to myself this summer I have managed to do a few sketches. This is one of the MANY tourists I came across in Bath. I Have also drawn a few of the city. You don't realise how beautiful it is until you leave for a while and come back. :D Lol sound like my mother!

This poorly cropped piece of art is what I have entered to The Bath prize competition. As I handed it into the gallery the standard looked amazing. So not too confident, but theres no harm in trying! especially when the prize is £2000! :) imagine what you could do with that! hmmmm... :D

End of year exhibition

This is my end of year show. I really enjoyed this project. I have managed to capture all the random freaks of Barring Street. Im not sure that my neighbours would agree though!
